The WTF will begin taking bets! Mr. Palmer is now the Official Bookie of the WTF. He will be making the betting lines each week and they will be on the website, with a link here. Ill be setting up a WTF Bucks system if you wanna bet play money and well also work in real money bets after awhile. Any Real Money bets will have to be completely seperate from WTF administration, so the Federation will not have to deal with any potential problems.

For the record I think this is a bad idea, and could have an effect on the integrity of how the games are played. I don't have a problem with having "point spreads" for each game and making picks for fun but taking real money bets is probably going a bit too far. But hey, those who want to partake can do so; those who don't want to don't have to.

I agree with lord. Real money bets should not be sponsored/affiliated in any way with the league. The fake point spreads and what not would be cool and is a good idea though.

Point spreads for fun sounds alright. Real money bets shouldn't be endorsed by the league if they somehow take place though.

Here is my concept for the Betting Line... We can expand our game with "Richest Franchise." Ex: each W gets your Franchise 10 WTF Bux Playoff W's net you 50 WTF Bux SB W net you 100 WTF Bux PotW get you 10 WTF Bux You can use that money to bet with. Ill keep the talley of who has what $$. Each Franchise starts Week10 with 100 WTF Bux. Does this sound fun? If so i can develop it into full Website feature. (Maybe we can develope it into a way to introduce Salary Caps and Luxury Taxes) What would be REALLY fun would be the ability to BUY roll for Performance Gains...like 1000 bux gets you a 75% shot at one attribute gain for one player. just a thought

I love the idea of having fake money to make picks for fun and establish a point spread system. I would not be in favor of any system that actually affects performance gains or anything that could have an impact on the outcome of a game. I think this would hinder the integrity of the league.

if ANYTHING, this would be a LONG TERM project, nothing more than play money for the next 3 seasons. These are just ideas. As far as WTF Bux for betting just to make things fun, thats on for whoever wants to play as of Week 10. Thoese who dont play will just have their money go to their Franchise in case they decide to play somday. Its just fun.
