Week 8: SD vs. PHI . . . SD 28
PHI 14
Bernie Kosar decided to let it fly . . . fly right into the hands of Jerry Rice and Jay Novacek, who both combined for over 200 yards and a TD. SD’s (called) blitzes did not matter. However, Cleveland Gary’s fumble at the SD 20 yard line late in the 3rd QTR changed things immensely for PHI, and SD, as Emmitt Smith kept the game in check with huge runs to edge PHI 28-14.
“They (PHI) played a spirited game, one that shows they will surely compete come next year” said Matt Darby, who fumbled an INT’d pass late in the 4th QTR. “They have some nice pieces to work around.”
GG FiveStar and GL in the off-season and next season.

Cleveland Gary, at it again!! He was a major pain in the ass for me, who contributed to my unsuccessful 1990 season!
