Week 7 SF vs CLEVLAND
Notch another up for the NFC as San Fran without BO Jackson steal one away from the Browns in OT! 24-21 SF in OT! OK, so the Barry - Bo Bowl wasn't hyped up to what it was supposed to be bc Bo got injured in the Philly game last week, but those who came to San Fran got more than what they ever could've seen in a Barry vs Bo matchup! Sammie Smith stepped in w/ his 38 MS and ran for more yards than Barry Sanders. Sammie and Brent Jones each got player of the game honors here and should each be nominated for POW. Sammie didn't have outrageous yards, but he was clutch! Brent Jones was in the zone too and both deserve to be nominated. Back and forth scoring after the first drive where SF stopped Clevland on 4th down. Paulie choose run 4 up the middle and was picked by me too. After that it was back and forth until the end of the game. Clevland up by 7 w/ 3 minutes left in the 4th Q after scoring. SF goes down the field slowly leaving only a little bit of time left after each play so could score and not give a chance for CLevland to throw a JJ to win the game. Anyways we get down to 4th and 1 on the 3 yard line... I pick run 2, power sweep down. Sammie Smith is making his way for an easy first down and Boom he's caught for no gain, turnover on down! There's only 45 seconds left in the game here and Paulie's up by a TD. We both picked run 1 first play, then 2nd he ran up top again w/ run 1 and Barry. Then after using timeouts to stop the clock and 21 seconds left we both pick pass 2... Rod Ferrarri got reduced to Mr Miata as the SF "D" Line crashed into him fumbling the ball only for Daryl Talley to scoop it up and run it in for the tie w/ only enough time for the kickoff after! In O.T. SF wins the coin toss and elects to get the ball. They drove down the field w/ nice catches by Brent Jones and affective runs by Sammie Smith. GOt it inside the 5 yard line and kicked the FG. GG Paulie.. Our last 3 or 4 games have ended exactly in the same way like this something weird w/ the Tecmo Gods going on here! Gl rest of season Paulie, hope I'm able to make a playoff run like your team seems destined to do.
