Week 5 Bengals vs Chargers
BENGALS 24, CHARGERS 3 Bengals pick up a key conference win with a victory over the Chargers. Cincy comes up running the ball behind Leonard Russell, who bursts out of the gate with reckless abandon. Unfortunately he would leave injured after 2 carries for 39 yards and Gil "Whitebread" Fenerty would take over as the feature back. Bengals first drive would stall out but Staurovsky would drain the kick. 3-0. Chargers drive the length on their first possession behind Emmitt, Emmitt, and more Emmitt. Eventually they would get inside the Bengal 5 yard line. Boomer would pitch the ball up to Emmitt and the Bengal D played a fine game of Smear the Queer and not only gangraped Emmitt but popped the ball loose as well. Pierce Holt would pick it up and rumble 97 yards for the score. 10-0 Bengals. Chargers drive before half and get a FG. 10-3. San Diego would get it to begin the 3rd quarter but a big sack from Chester the Molester on 3rd down would force punt. Bengals put together a nice drive capped off by an Eric Metcalf TD run. 17-3. San Diego would turn it over on downs and Jim Everett went to the air, hooking up with Desmond Howard a few times before dumping it off to Metcalf for a short TD reception. 24-3, and that's how it would end. All stars today for Cincy: Everett: completed about 70% of his passes with 1 TD pass Whitebread: 4 receptions in addition to good RB duty Metcalf: 2 TDs Bengals 7-1 GG CPR and GL the rest of the way, pleasure as always.

GG Lord . . . Effort did not manifest into points for me. One cannot turn the ball over with you leading- even it is 3 points. GL the rest of the way. CPR
