Week 12 Browns at Patriots
Wow, I just saw my playoff hopes flash before me eyes. I was up 14-7 at the half and got the ball to receive. SStruck played some good defense and I decided not to play around with 4th and 5 and just take the 3 points 17-7. Patriots quickly strike back with a long jj from Krieg to Drew Hill. 17-14, Browns. I fear not as I get the ball back with 1 minute in the third and suddenly Rod Ferrari goes down. Um wow, devastating to say the least. For those of you who know my style of play it relies almost completely on a high ms quarterback and taking those 6 yard scrambles. So in comes Hugh Millen. I am once again driving and am at my 30 when faced with a 4th and 6th. I figure a FG still makes its a 1 score game, while a TD will put the game away. Hugh Millen has a wide open cross field receiver, but it is batted down for a turnover on downs. Browns are trying to hold Patriots out of scoring position, but a long jj to Drew Hill gets them to the 12 yard line and a timeout is called with 1 second remaining. A FG off the cross bars send this one to OT. Patriots get the toss and receive. SStruck is faced with a 4th an one and picks it up by a yard. Next series he is faced with a 4th and 2, and Greg Lloyd cuts across field and I tap as I have never tapped before, and he is held a yard short. Browns take over and decide to never let Hugh Millen throw another pass in his life, and let Barry run to the end zone for a very toughly con-*test*-('")ed victory. Browns 23 Patriots 17. Very good game SStruck, and GL this next season. Note: Rod Ferrari also had a 40 yard td to Toon in this game which was not credited due to a tackle in the end zone (which was NOT on purpose). I e-mailed TDO and hopefully the issue will be resolved.
