The 1993 WTF College Draft: Available Offensive Linemen
Here's a GREAT crop of offensive linemen! Some real studs in this bunch. Enjoy. RS/RP 25/69 for all. Name: Willie Roaf Position: OL College: Louisiana Tech Outlook: Roaf is a star in the making and should be a bookend tackle for years to come in the WTF. First round would not be out of the question here. MS HP % 44 69 60 38 63 30 31 56 10 Tecmo Comparison: Tunch Ilkin Name: Brad Hopkins Position: OL College: Illinois Outlook: Hopkins is a safe bet to be a great offensive lineman in this league, and in fact he has an even higher upside than Willie Roaf. He's fast and can hit with authority. MS HP % 38 69 50 44 75 30 31 63 15 25 56 5 Tecmo Comparison: Mike Webster Name: Earnest Dye Position: OL College: South Carolina Outlook: Dye isn't a great lineman but would be worth a late round selection to fill a roster spot. Could be good practice squad material. MS HP % 31 50 60 38 56 10 25 44 30 Tecmo Comparison: Steve Trapilo Name: Ben Coleman Position: OL College: Notre Dame Outlook: Coleman is slow but is a good blocker and can provide help in both run stuffing and pass protection. This is the guy who opened a lot of holes for Jerome Bettis and Reggie Brooks the last few years... MS HP % 31 56 60 25 50 30 38 63 10 Tecmo Comparison: Grant Feasel Name: Todd Rucci Position: OL College: Penn State Outlook: Todd Rucci has good speed for an offensive lineman but has only average blocking technique. He may struggle to latch on with a team if he doesn't show improvement soon. MS HP % 38 50 70 31 44 20 25 38 10 Tecmo Comparison: Tom Thayer Name: Earl Dotson Position: OL College: Texas A&M-Kingsville Outlook: The only thing hurting Dotson's draft stock is his small school profile. This guy can block extremely well and should almost certainly provide a big upgrade in someone's offensive line. MS HP % 31 63 50 38 69 10 25 56 30 19 50 10 Tecmo Comparison: Eric Moore Name: Greg Bishop Position: OL College: Pacific Outlook: This west coast product is the virtual definition of an average lineman. He doesn't provide much by way of skill but usually can get the job done except when dealing with premier defensive linemen. MS HP % 31 50 70 25 44 20 38 56 10 Tecmo Comparison: Eric Andolsek Name: Ron Stone Position: OL College: Boston College Outlook: Stone is a fast and agile linemen who can also deliver the goods as a blocker. He'll be a starter for some team next season. MS HP % 44 56 60 38 50 30 31 44 10 Tecmo Comparison: Joel Hilgenberg Name: Herman Arvie Position: OL College: Grambling Outlook: Arvie could be an OK addition to someone's offensive line but there's a legitimate chance that he could be absolutely awful. Proceed with caution with this pick. MS HP % 25 50 70 19 44 20 19 38 10 Tecmo Comparison: Tim Irwin Name: Chris Gray Position: OL College: Auburn Outlook: Now here's a guy who will be around for years. His upside exceeds ANY offensive lineman in Tecmo history. Now that's what a call a first round pick! MS HP % 44 69 70 38 63 20 50 75 10 Tecmo Comparison: Stan Brock Name: Everett Lindsay Position: OL College: Mississippi Outlook: Lindsay is a solid lineman who will be a mainstay on the offensive line for whoever drafts him. MS HP % 31 63 60 25 56 30 19 50 10 Tecmo Comparison: John Davis Name: Corbin Lacina Position: OL College: Augustana Outlook: The pride of small Division III powerhouse Augustana, Lacina will have a good shot at being an above average linemen in the WTF. MS HP % 38 56 60 31 50 30 25 44 10 Tecmo Comparison: Dermontti Dawson Name: Steve Everitt Position: OL College: Michigan Outlook: A speedy center who is an average blocker, Everitt will probably be a good addition to a WTF team in the near future. MS HP % 44 50 70 38 44 20 50 56 10 Tecmo Comparison: Joel Hilgenberg Name: Mike Compton Position: OL College: West Virginia Outlook: Compton did a fine job opening holes for Adrian Murrell to run through the past few years at West Virginia. He'll continue to do the same as a pro. MS HP % 38 63 70 44 69 20 31 56 10 Tecmo Comparison: Harry Galbreath Name: Greg Huntingdon Position: OL College: Penn State Outlook: Huntingdon's shoddy blocking should prevent him from getting drafted. MS HP % 31 44 70 38 50 20 25 38 10 Tecmo Comparison: Kevin Glover Name: Mike Devlin Position: OL College: Iowa Outlook: Devlin looks like a good quality center with very high upside. He'll find himself drafted somewhere in the 3rd or 4th round almost certainly. MS HP % 38 50 60 31 44 20 38 56 10 38 63 10 Tecmo Comparison: Tom Thayer Name: Lincoln Kennedy Position: OL College: Washington Outlook: Kennedy is a guard who looks like the real deal. He spent the past few seasons annihilating opposing defensive linemen and allowing Billy Joe Hobert and Mark Brunell to flourish at Washington. Look for Kennedy to be a 2nd rounder here. His upside is enormous, much like the man himself. MS HP % 38 69 70 44 75 10 31 63 20 Tecmo Comparison: Jeff Bostic Name: Lester Holmes Position: OL College: Jackson State Outlook: Holmes is slow but a good blocker worth a late-round gamble. MS HP % 25 56 60 19 56 20 31 63 20 Tecmo Comparison: Broderick Thompson Name: John Gerak Position: OL College: Penn State Outlook: Joe Paterno got good production out of Gerak when he was with the Nittany Lions but Gerak simply isn't that talented. He'll probably be on the outside looking in when it comes to getting drafted. MS HP % 25 44 60 19 38 20 31 50 20 Tecmo Comparison: Damian Johnson Name: Joe Cocozzo Position: OL College: Michigan Outlook: Cocozzo is a below-average lineman with reasonable upside. A 5th round selection is probably in the cards. MS HP % 31 50 50 25 44 30 38 56 10 19 38 10 Tecmo Comparison: Jay Pennison Name: Will Shields Position: OL College: Nebraska Outlook: Shields is a fast guard and tremendous blocker with little downside. A very nice mid-round selection. MS HP % 44 63 60 50 69 20 38 56 20 Tecmo Comparison: Bruce Armstrong Name: Chuck Belin Position: OL College: Wisconsin Outlook: Eh, you can do better than this guy. Pass on Belin. MS HP % 31 38 70 38 44 20 44 50 10 Tecmo Comparison: Bill Lewis Name: Lonnie Palelei Position: OL College: UNLV Outlook: Yet another from the annual Samoan contingent, Palelei is probably best left undrafted. MS HP % 31 44 70 38 50 20 25 38 10 Tecmo Comparison: John Gesek Name: Chris Dalman Position: OL College: Iowa Outlook: Dalman is a fine looking guard with nice upside and a strong chance to be an above-average lineman. Mid-to-late rounds would seem to be the most likely time for Dalman to come off the board. MS HP % 31 56 60 25 50 30 38 63 10 Tecmo Comparison: Frank Cornish Name: Jeff Blackshear Position: OL College: Louisiana-Monroe Outlook: Blackshear looks to have about the same skill set as Dalman but might be a hair better. MS HP % 31 56 60 25 50 20 38 63 20 Tecmo Comparison: Max Montoya
