Similiar to last season, but lets get a ruling early....
Week 16, Swamp plays Mrtsb. Both of them need to win in order to make the playoffs. My game w/ Palmer becomes meaningless if Swamp loses as I'm in w/ a win or a loss in which case I would be resting my starters. Can I intentionally wait until that game has been played or do I have to play it asap and risk injury. I know a similiar situation came up last year w/ me waiting on Kid, and I know I was greatly benefited by the league ruling last year. Whatever you guys decide is fine by me and I'll abide by it, I just think we should get some clarification as early as possible.

This is different because both are week 16 games. You can be lame and duck palmer if you want to wait but mrtsb/swamp can also wait and play before the deadline(whatever that may be) if they wanted to.

I understand that it's slightly different, but I'm still asking so we can get a ruling. Both of them MUST win, where as I am not neccesarily in a must win situation, that's why I feel like we need a ruling

You want a ruling by the league so you can know if you should rest your starters? lolol this is a joke

I don't see why it's a joke? I'm gonna listen to the ruling, but unlike the NFL there is no time schedule for the order in which the week 16 games are played... I feel it's a fair question

Technically you never have to play the game. We'll just get sick of the fact that it wasn't played and replace you eventually. :) To answer the question, I'd say just play the game. If you want to wait it out and make yourself invisible for awhile until the other games are played, that's your prerogative, but don't intentionally duck other owners who want to get their games played.

I don't know if there can actually be an exact ruling on this situation. I guess the only ruling would have to be, that both games are played before the deadline. That would really be the only thing that could be set in stone. Availability is the main thing when determining which games normally get played first. With that being said, Swamp and Mr Tsb are two of the most frequent players available at night, so I would assume there should be no problem getting their game in, in a timely manner. Both of these players have nothing to gain by waiting for other games to be played. And they are both stand up guys who always get their games in fairly quickly, so I don't really foresee this issue being a problem.
