REGULAR SEASON COMPLETE!
We seem to have leveled off in terms of getting games played. Let's try our best to get all 1992 regular season games played by next Friday at midnight (4/4). If it's clear that both opponents are trying to get the game played and you need an extra day or two to get it in, that would be reasonable. The way it will work is easy. If you make an effort to get in touch with your opponent and they do not reciprocate, you will get credit for a sim win and you will receive AVERAGE stats for each player in your game. The unreciprocating opponent will receive credit for a sim loss and will get NO stats factored in for performance gain purposes and their starting QB will lose 10 points from their QB rating for each game not played. Use the message board as evidence that you have contacted your opponent. If neither owner makes visible effort to try to get the game played, both players will be given a loss and will get no stats for PG purposes (and QB loses rating points as above). If you have more than two games unplayed as of 4/4, you may not be invited back for next season, depending on circumstances. Here are all of the games yet to be played: GB vs RAI wk 5 MIA vs ATL wk 11 RAI vs GB wk 13 ATL vs RAI wk 14 HOU vs GB wk 15 RAI vs PHI wk 15 SD vs RAI wk 16 It appears two of these games are BPK/Ghost games--let's sim a win for each player and give average stats to each. That leaves 5 other games yet to be played. AS EXTRA INCENTIVE TO GET YOUR GAMES PLAYED... I will allow you to do your aging/retirement ceremony with me as soon as your 16 game schedule is complete. I took the time today to get those all ready to go and I think I'm all set. The only thing that may change is the PG situation for some players but we can work around that (do the roll and interpret its meaning later, etc.). Keep in mind that you can't make trades until your aging/retirement ceremony is complete so the sooner you complete that duty, the better off you'll be getting prepared for the offseason. Also, in case you didn't notice, check the 1993 Draft Forum for Player ratings/bios for the upcoming draft. The only position left is DB, which should be done pretty soon. Thanks to all for another great season and best of luck to all playoff contenders! Ideally, the playoffs will begin on Saturday, April 5, or sooner if all key games are in prior.

ill stop being lazy and get the DB bios done by sunday night. Let me know if you want me to do half--and if so, let me know which half. Looks like someone's ready for a rolling ceremony too...you and Berger both are done with your schedules, and Brookston too...thanks for getting your games in!

FWIW I don't like the idea of aging/retirement ceremonies for any team being done before the super bowl. I was excited when you said you would wait for the conclusion of the playoffs before these were done and I vote that next year we do wait. I personally wish to wait until the conclusion of the SB to do my ceremonies.

I was excited when you said you would wait for the conclusion of the playoffs before these were done and I vote that next year we do wait. I personally wish to wait until the conclusion of the SB to do my ceremonies. My entire rationale was that guys weren't playing their games. Wk 15 had been out for a week with only half the games played and Wk 16 had been out for 4 days with only two played. I figured if there was some incentive to play that owners would be more apt to get the games in. I don't like the idea either but it could help solve the problem and reward teams that play all their games timely.

Berger2313- 03-30-2008

Egh, I mean I know what you're saying but again I think it takes away from the playoffs... Make or miss the playoffs I'm gonna wait

Bump. Only 7 games to go, 5 involving BPK. Two are the BPK/Ghost games. HOU vs GB, MIA vs ATL are the others. Thanks to all for getting these games in quickly. You guys really are the best group of owners in any online league, by far the most dedicated bunch around!

Regular season is OVER! Those who still need to meet with me for aging/retirement, please do so soon. By my records that would be: Dolphins Raiders Chargers Cowboys I understand Berger is waiting until the playoffs have concluded to handle his business (although, Berger, you can still do your meeting with me with the understanding that I won't post it up until afterward). The rest of you, I should be around in the evenings this week with the exception of Wednesday, so keep an eye out for me. Remember, you can't make trades until your ceremony is complete, so if that's something that intrigues you, get your ceremony done. We'll get the draft started up very soon to try to get a jump start on that and hope for a pretty short and concise offseason. Once again we've set the bar very high compared with other online leagues. Every single game on the schedule was played with the exception of the three games that featured two non-hosters. That is excellent, and you all are to be commended. We'll be doing something to handle the issue of the non-hosters very soon, which will involve some slight divisional realignment to get the Raiders and Packers out of the same division. Thanks to all for a great season and GL to playoff participants. Happy drafting!
