Lol, this is a fuckin joke and should be sent to committee for review. If I made this trade it 100% would be overturned... how can a first round pick be traded for a (presumably)higher first round pick AND a 2nd round pick?

I am not hating on this trade, but do feel a ruling should be made. I don't really care which way the ruling goes, but Mr.Tsb is kind of turning trades into a joke. Obviously 1 first for another first and a second is not entirely fair, it's just Mr.Tsb being a retard (sorry for being so blunt). But once again, I could care less what happens with the outcome of this trade, but it should be up for review, like all trades are.

The 2nd rounder is to compensate me for having to wait a year to use the draft pick I am trading for.

Shit like this happens all the time in the NFL. If you want a pick now or to move up on draft day you don't just swap and call it a day. They always add in a future pick in a draft when swapping picks. I don't see how this is new to anybody who follows football in the sligh-*test*-('") bit. The extra pick is the "tax" to realize the gains from drafting a player now instead of waiting an extra year or two.

Ditka was roundly criticized for the trading of all of the team's 1999 draft picks (plus their first round draft pick in 2000) to the Washington Redskins in order to move up in the draft and select Texas RB Ricky Williams.

Find me an NFL trade where a team traded a 1st round pick one season for a higher first round pick AND a 2nd round pick the following season and I'll have no more beef w/ the trade

Ok, I apologize if I offended you Mr.Tsb, I guess what I meant to say is this: "In my personal opinion, I do not feel like the Tek System is a good idea, and it affects the landscape of the league, because the entire value of draft picks has changed. It will most likely be the downfall of a team, as in the long run, they have to give up more than they get. (Case in Point, this trade). Eventually there will be a day when you won't be able to field a team." So my words were not choice. I was not calling you retarded, but I disagree with the basis of the Tek System. But hey it's your team and feel free to do with it what you want; It seemed to work well last year. Again no hard feelings as I do understand teams do give up more for current draft picks then future draft picks. EX: My Browns gave up this years 1st rounder #22, and last years 2nd Rounder #36 for last years Cowboys 1st rounder # 20. So I guess my dis-agreence was more with the Tek System than the actual trade itself. My apologies. Note: Go figure, Another thread where I stick my foot in my mouth and am apologizing to someone...

How do you know its going to be higher? You are just guessing at who is going to finish where which is a joke. You predicted yourself to win the Super Bowl this year and where are you? You are sitting on the sidelines whining about trades. ROFLMAO What is it so hard to understand about the fact I need to be compensated if I'm giving a pick this year for a pick next year? I fail to see how this is so unfair. Im not trading Barry Sanders for Keith Woodside here. Anytime you are trading for picks higher than yours or trading future picks for present ones you need to give up something extra.

I think the bottom line Lord and Eamons have to make that call. I mean if they decide to ban TecSystem that is fine by me. Plus TecSystem is not fully understood by everyone. It is not intended to be used for years and years. It is intended to get your team younger and better quicker. Tecsystem is a 2-3 year plan believe it or not. It is not a perfect system, but is affective. My team is in better position than when i came in. If I would have went with my team from last season and drafted I don't feel it would have been to much better. TecSystem for me is something I needed to get my team younger and better quick and it has 100% worked for me. Next season I will not have any draft picks, but I will have a young team. I know of the cermony where guys retire and age so all my holes for next season will be fill through free agency, trading players and practice squad.
