Chiefs Ring of Honor The Chiefs would like to announce the first member that is going to be inducted into the Chiefs Ring of Honor.
LB Mike Singletary
Mike Singletary was definitely one of our best players the two years he was on the Chiefs; in 1990 and in 1991. Even though he was a bit old his veteran leadership was vital for our successful 1991 season, where we reached the NFC championship game.
In our week 16 1991 game vs the Oilers, Singletary had a key INT in the late 3rd/early 4th quarter. Pretty amazing feat on its own, as he was only a 19 INT LB. Without this INT, we may not have won, as it set up a TD that put us ahead.
After the 1991 season, Singletary left the Chiefs for one final season with the Denver Broncos. He retired in 1993 after that season.
